| Market Report - Lettings Summer 2008
The London residential lettings market is currently enjoying a relative upswing when compared to the sales makret. The summer months are our busiest monthsregardless whether there is a credit crunch, with a wave of students and post grads hitting town looking for rented accommodation.
The Market, when compared to last summer though, is different.
The confidence has gone in the City, this is reflected in our applicants and the price that we are achieving on our properties. Volume may be up, but rents are down a little on last year with relatively high supply and steady demand.
However, with relatively few new investors coming to the market, there can only be a long term increase in the rental prices as supply tightens.
